Calling all People with Skin
Calling all People with Skin
When it comes to skin health, we should all be equal. At Neutrogena, we’re here to break down the barriers that stand betweenyou and your best skin ever. No matter your skin issue, color, type or age.
According to a recent survey, 62 percent of Americans, ages 18 and over, experience some form of skin inequality, and Americanadults earning less than $25,000 per year are 1.7 times less likely to have ever seen a dermatologist[^1^]. Additionally, peoplewith lower income earnings are less likely to seek preventative healthcare and have lower health literacy, contributing toskin health disparities.
“For People with Skin” is our long-term commitment to advancing skin health for all. We're taking actions to overcome skinhealth barriers for all people, including the 130 million Americans who are impacted by skin health disparities, providingthem with greater access to skin health expertise, education and skincare products designed for their needs.
Through “For People with Skin,” we’ll address four core pillars – advocacy, education, expertise and transparency. The followinginitiatives represent our commitment to continuing to take action to address barriers that stand in the way of skin health.
Advocacy: Advancing equity for consumers, patients and professionals
To ensure equitable and accessible skin products for all consumers, we’ll use an inclusive approach to identify key insightsthat drive meaningful product innovations and relevant claims in products that are safe for all consumers across the fullFitzpatrick scale of skin tones. We’ll also expand upon our existing partnership with the Johnson & Johnson Innovation'sBlack Innovators in Skin Health QuickFire Challenge, which awards one grant winner up to $50,000 to continue their work toadvance science for products dedicated to skin of color.
Education: Arming you with the best knowledge to take care of your skin
